Imperatively accompanied by its base. To envisage the suitable means of handling. handling of the heavy parts will be made by the artist.

Watercolour, gouache, pastel. Framing under glass with rod (system of fixing include). 2m of broad maximum for 2 works.

DRAWING
2 WORKS

Pencil, charcoal, Indian ink. Framing under glass with rod (system of fixing). 2m of broad max.

ENGRAVING
on wood or metal

All techniques of engraving on wood and metal.
- only engraving higher than 75 X 57 is 1
- in 2 identical framings 65 X 50 are 2 engravings

PHOTOGRAPHS

1 image photographic or a unit constituting a unit of 2 m ready with the fixing. It is advised not to present too small sizes.

1 work or 1 unit

To specify on the note matters of works employed: stained glass, tapestry, mosaic (system of fixing included).
The window and the electric installation are the responsibility of the artist.
Maximum width 2 m.

Imperatively accompanied by its base. To envisage the suitable means of handling. handling of the heavy parts will be made by the artist.

Summary of parts required

1. Present application form duly filled and signed
2. A slide of work presented (according to the selected section)
3. The payment of the fees related with your candidature (do not forget to sign and date your checks in euros)
4. An envelope maroon kraft of 162 X 229 mm, without stamp nor  inscription.

Do not forget to sign and date the documents at the places indicated.

 

 

Rules of Candidature 2008

1) Parts required:
For works color : provide a slide 10 X 12,5 cm or 24 X 36 mm.
For works in black and white:  provide a good black and white pulling.
Each slide must imperatively relate to the back or to the mask: name, first name, title of work.
To locate right-hand side, left, high and low.

2) Right of fixing:
Artists admitted by the jury to expose (see paragraph 3) below) will have to discharge the sum of 275 euros, expenses of reproduction color or black and white of Work in the catalogue included. The payment will have imperatively to be done in the form of two checks : 35 euros + 240 euros, with the order of the Salon d’Automne.
These two checks are to be addressed with the form and slide to Association du Salon d’automne Grand Palais Porte C - Avenue Franklin Roosevelt 75008 Paris.
For the bank transfers: CPC Paris 2054-87 L or Crédit Lyonnais Bank: 30002 - Agence: 00443 – Number account: 0000005674J key 01. If you make a transfer, please do it in only once and indicate to us your complete banking co-ordinates (name of the bank, addresses and n° of account, n° IBAN) for possible refunding. For any transfer or cheque foreigner, add 15 euros for bank charge.
Any incomplete form will not be taken into account and will be systematically returned.

3) Fixing :
The work which reproduction will have been presented at the Jury and which will appear in the catalogue, will have imperatively to be the one hung during the exposure. Very other work will be refused.

4) Jury:
The selection will be done starting from the photographic document of work. The artists will be informed by letter of the decision of the jury. None response by telephone will not be given. The Jury reserves the right to select only one work in the sections where 2 works can be presented. In the event of non admission, the sum of 240 euros will be restored, the sum of 35 euros will be intended to cover the expenses of the Association. In accordance with the rules of the Association, it is pointed out that the decisions of the jury are without call concerning the admission or non admission of the works presented.

5) Reproduction rights:
Each artist commits himself not requesting from the Salon d’Automne a right of reproduction for the Work reproduced in the catalogue, on our web site or via media covering the subject of the Salon d’automne.

6) Information:
Information contained in this form will be held in our computer files. Name, addresses and telephones appearing in the first page will be reproduced completely in catalogue and possibly on our website (www.salon-automne-paris.com). Law of the 06/01/78 Informatique and Libertés.

7) Insurance :
The Association of the Salon d’Automne is not responsible for works which are entrusted to him, it decline any responsibility with regard to the flights, fires, deteriorations, etc. and advises the artists to take one personal insurance, since the day of the deposit until the withdrawal.

8) Carrying :
Carrying and handling of works are with the exclusive load of artists or of their conveyor. Those will have to be unpacked, packed and handled by you or your conveyor.

9) Identification of works:
Works not identifiable neither will be accepted nor exposed.
To register: name, first name and title on the back of work.


10) Sale:
A service of information will inform the amateurs and collectors.
In the event of effective sale of a work, the artist commits himself offering a gift of 15% to the Association of Salon d’automne.


11) Access to Sociétariat:
The artists are proposed by the Council, without it being made form application.

12) Withdrawal requirement:
Passed the schedules of withdrawal (9h30 to 14h), works will be given to the Company Atlantic, company of furniture depository, which will invoice with each artist the expenses of guard and of carrying of its work. Association declines any responsibility.
